Stable range including groom's accommodation. Late C18 or early C19.
Local limestone rubble. Corruqated asbestos sheet roof, retaining Welsh
slates only at eh left end over the groom's accommodation which has deep
eaves over the front wall which is recessed at an angle.
Plan: Rectangular plan stables with a hay loft above having a doorway at
the rear where the ground is at a higher level. At the front a later lean-
to canopy with a harness room, at either end. Set back to the left the
groom's accommodation is over what is possibly a store; the groom's
accommodation has an external stair at the left and another farm building
to the right which has been incorporated into the house which is situated
across a small yard in front.
Exterior: 2 storeys. The front has 2 very small hay loft windows left and
right. Hipped slate lean-to roof over the harness rooms to left and right
with an open-fronted shelter between.
Set back to the left 2 ground floor doorways with keeping place recesses in
the jambs and C19 and C20 casements above with glazing bars. External
stone steps in the left hand gable end up to the first floor plank door;
under the stairs a dog-kennel.
At the back of the stables a loft loading door and a small early C19
casement at the back of the groom's accommodation.
Interior: the stables are intact including the stalls with iron bars
above, but the groom's accommodation is now a workshop.
Roof: the hay of and roof structure not inspected.
