Gate house to Beenleigh (qv). Probably C16. Slate rubble and other local
stone rubble. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Rebuilt stone stack at north
east gable end.
Small almost square on plan with carriageway through the ground storey and a
loft above which may have been heated. Rounded, almost elliptical arch with
dressed slate voussoirs. The arch on the inside facing the house has
imposts. Small window in the north east gable end.
Two roughly hewn floor beams inside and C20 floor and roof structure.
Stables (qv) adjoin to the south west.
