Listing Text

5/385 Stone Hills


Small farmhouse. Early C19 with circa mid C19 extension. Slate rubble with
slat hung front. Asbestos slate roof with gabled and hipped ends. Rendered
end chimney stacks.
Plan: Double depth with 2 front rooms, central entrance and small integral
service rooms at rear. Circa mid C19 one-room plan addition at higher right
hand south end. The ground floor internal partitions have been removed from
the original 2-room plan at the front.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 2 plus 1 window range front. Early C19 12-pane sashes.
Central early C19 flush-panel door with slate canopy on shaped brackets.
Right hand extension has 2-light casement with glazing bars on first floor and
C20 casement and porch on ground floor.
Interior not accessible at time of survey 1986.
