Farmhouse. Probably C17, remodelled and extended c1860.
Painted and mostly rendered stone rubble; gabled slate roof,
tarred to outshut; rendered stacks with moulded cornices,
restored cl991.
L-shaped plan, the front block representing a remodelling and
extension c1860 of the C17 house which now constitutes the
rear service wing.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window garden front (facing east) has
6/6-pane sashes and 4-panel door with overlight set behind
early C20 glazed porch. The rear wing has similar sashes to
left-hand (south) return wall and a C19 one-storey outshut
added to the right-hand wall, which also retains C17
projection for housing stairs.
Interior: mid C19 joinery, including panelled doors and
staircase with turned balusters. Some C17 features are
probably hidden beneath later alterations, and a winder stair
of probably C17 date survives inside the stair turret at
junction of the hall and the rear wing.

Farmhouse. Circa C17 or earlier, remodelled and extended in mid C19.
Rendered stone rubble. Slate roof with gabled ends. Rendered gable end
chimney stacks with moulded cornices, and similar stack at junction with
rear wing.
Plan: Probably a 3 room and cross or through passage plan, probably with an
axial hall stack backing onto the passage and gable end stack at higher
end. Solid masonry wall between hall and large inner room. The lower east
end including the passage was demolished and rebuilt in mid C19 at right
angles, to form the main front of the house which consists of two principal
rooms and a central stair hall. The hall and inner room of the original
house has its eaves raised and became the service wing at the rear of the
left hand room of the mid C19 addition with a single storey rear outshut
in the angle.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window east front to mid C19 addition.
Large C19 12-pane sashes. Central doorway with 4 panel door and plain
rectangular fanlight, enclosed within a circa early C20 glazed porch.
The out south facing side of the rear wing has been remodelled with 2 12-
pane sashes on both floors. The inner north face of the wing has a
projecting stair turret and a large single storey lean-to outshut in the
angle.
Interior: Most of the mid C19 internal joinery survives, including panelled
doors and the staircase with turned balusters. In the rear wing a stair
turret at junction of former hall and inner room has stone newel stairs.
The hall fireplace is blocked. The roof is entirely C19 with softwood
trusses.
