Public house and adjoining brewer's house. Part of the public house has been converted into a separate house. Bridge House and Harbourne House formerly the brewer's house is now the village shop and Post Office.

Early to mid C19. Slate rubble with some other local stone rubble. Low pitched asbestos slate hipped roof with deep eaves. Bridge House and Harbourne House have brackets to eaves soffit. Brick chimney stacks, some rendered.

Plan: The former Maltsters Arms to left originally a two-room plan with central lobby entrance, now altered and with long rear wing. Bridge House adjoining right is splayed back and Harbourne House is at right angles to rear; the whole forming an overall U-shaped plan.

Exterior: two storeys. Former Maltsters Arms Public House to left, almost symmetrical three bays, left hand windows slightly wider,16-pane sashes, centre first floor 12-pane sash, with flat slate arches. Left hand ground floor flat red brick arch and left hand first floor timber lintel. Wide central doorway with stuccoed flanking pilasters and elliptical arch with panel above in moulded frame in place of entablature holding fascia board with name of public house. Doorway half blocked.

Bridge House to right is a two-window range, right hand splayed back, 12-pane sashes, ground floor fixed-light 16-pane window with elliptical dressed stone arch head. Ground floor left wide doorway with flat red brick arch with C20 glazed door with side lights. Right hand return of Bridge House and Harbourne House to right is five-window range. Bridge House two windows to left has 12-pane sashes and left hand ground floor canted bay window. Harbourne House, three windows to right, the sashes replaced with C20 pivot windows, central doorway with elliptical arch and fanlight with gothick glazing bars, glazed and panelled door and later glazed gable porch. C20 eight-pane shop window to right.
