Earlier C19. Part of a terrace comprising Nos 46 to 50 (even) (qv). Rendered
facade with very wide, bracketed eaves. Slate roof. 2 storeys and 2 gabled
dormers cut into roof. 3 windows sashes, the lst floor with segmental arches and
late C19 glazing. Ground floor has western bay window with modern glazing and
centre door with fluted pilasters and small flat hood. Panelled door.

Nos 38 to 56 (even) and No 40A form a group (of which Nos 42 to 46 (even) and
Nos 52 to 56 (even) are buildings of local interest).
