Early C19. Red brick with wide eaves and slate roof. 2 storeys. 2 windows each, early C19 casements with glazing bars, ground floor with cambered heads. Centre doors. Adjoining No 1, at south-west end, is a 1 storey extension possibly former blacksmiths or industrial usage. 2 windows (1 large with 5 wooden mullions). Centre double doors, all with cambered head linings. Prominent position in village centre.

Nos 1 and 2 Riverside Cottages (including adjoining one storey building to
south-west) form a group.
