The Old House on East
and South Sides

Possibly C17 but with later repairs and additions. Very high on South side
(about 20 feet) with stepped gable of brick in centre. On this side, mainly
of red brick with some flint and brick rubble. Brick pilasters. Beneath gable,
in base of wall, a doorway leading to a cave now used as a gardener's shed.
On East side, wall of later date of flint, with brick lacing course and, at intervals
strips of red brick arranged vertically.
