Three storey six window red brick corner block, the upper storey added later, also a new slate roof. Sash windows with segmental heads and keystones Good Corinthian pilasters to shop fronts. [The name board of No 23 formerly in raised Victorian lettering now removed].

All the listed buildings in Market Place, and Nos 59 to 73 (odd) East Street, Conyer's Filling Station, Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 2 to 8 (even) and No 12 West Street, and Church of St Peter and St Paul form a group. Also No 25 forms a group with Nos 1 and 5 Church Lane.
