Most of this building, including the two principal fronts, was rebuilt about
26 years ago. As it is a careful piece of work, paying respect to the local
Georgian style and is in a prominent position, it has been graded II. Part
of the back is C18, the stables are also C18 in origin but have be converted
for use as garages.

No 12, Three Choughs Public House and the Crown Hotel foorm a group.
