ST 7317 STALBRIDGE HIGH STREET (WEST SIDE)

7/39 The Post Office

GV II

Shop. Probably C18 origin with C19 front. Coursed rubble walls with
tiled roof and brick stack in gable end. 2 storey with 3 window ranges in
upper floor. Ground floor has projecting wooden C19 shop front with square
panelled glazing. To the right is a door to a passage with a square head under
a round headed opening. The upper floor has 3 2-light casements with glazing
bars under wooden lintels. The eaves are sprocketted. The roof pitch appears
to have been altered and there may be an earlier core.
