Farmhouse, main range late C16, front wing dated 1739, and C19 extension
right. C16 and C17 ranges of coursed rubble, C19 range of brick (Flemish
bond). Slate roofs with gable ends and brick stacks to the ends of the
earlier ranges. C16 range has a hollow-chamfered stone mullioned window
of 4 lights with 4-centred heads in an ogee-moulded surround with a moulded
square label to the ground floor right. The upper floor has two similar
windows but with cable moulded labels. Another such window occurs on the
ground floor, south east front. C20 porch. The C18 wing has C20 casements
of metal and wood. 4 panel glazed door. The C19 range has 2-light wooden
casements with glazing bars and a C20 porch. "RCHM Dorset Vol III", p 93,
