House, now house and cottage, C17 or earlier with C18 partial refacing.
Brick (Flemish bond with some flared headers to the left) and close studded
timber framing to the right. Thatched roof with hipped end right and gable
end left. Brick stacks to ends and to right of door. 2 storeys, irregular
fenestration. Cottage has plain timber door and main house has part-
glazed door. "RCHM, Dorset, vol III", p 204, no 9.
