ST 81 NE COMPTON ABBAS COMPTON ABBAS VILLAGE

Pair of cottages, now single house. Probably early C18 with C19 and C20 additions
and alterations. Coursed rubble with C19 brick extension to east. Extension has
ashlar quoins. Thatched roof, hipped east and gabled left. Brick stacks to west
gable and part in along ridge left. 2 storeys, 4 window range. Mainly 2-light
casements with horizontal glazing bars. C20 glazed doors, near centres of former
cottages. C19 brick outshut to north. C19 brickwork has patterns in flared headers.
