ST 8614 IWERNE MINSTER BLANDFORD ROAD (East Side)

10/121 Talbot Arms

II

Public house, probably early C19 in core but extensively remodelled late C19.
Ground floor in brick and upper floor half-timbered with stucco infill.
Tiled roof with end and near central brick stacks. 3 forward projecting
wings, the left two of which have 2 storey canted bays. Right wing has
canted oriel. 2 storeys, 6 irregular window range. 12-pane sashes.C20 door
in C20 outshut between 2 left hand wings. Wings are gabled with wooden
barge-boards describing a semi-circle. Interior appears largely late C20.
A rich design, complementing other work of this period in the village.
