4/87 The Thatched Cottage

GV II

Cottage, possibly originally 2 cottages, mid C18 with C19 alterations and
partial rebuilding. Banded flint with brick and rubble. Thatched roof with
end brick stacks. L-plan. One and a half storeys, 3 window range. Ground floor
openings under segmental heads. Casements with glazing bars, of 2 lights above
and 3 lights below. Central part-glazed plank door. Internally some chamfered
beams are exposed. One of the oldest surviving buildings in the Village.
