ST70SE ANSTY LANE (East side)

GV II

Detached cottage. Probably C18, maybe of earlier origin. Walls of brick and
flint, part plastered. Thatched roof, hipped at right end over later extension.
Chalk block quoins at end of original building. Brick stacks at left end and
right end of original house. One storey and attic. C20 flat-roofed single-storey
rear extension. Part-glazed door. Ground floor has 3 casement windows with
glazing bars and a fixed window in former door opening. Attic has three half
dormers with casements with lead lights, - one opening light replaced in timber.
Blocked window in right extension. RCHM Monument 20. (Dorset. Vol.III)
