Lodge at entrance to drive to Longthornes. c1850. Brick walls in Flemish
Bond with burnt headers; hipped slate roof with deeply overhanging eaves
forming verandah, carried on octagonal timber posts. One brick stack and
one ornamental terra-cotta stack. Single-storey. Elevation to drive has,
at right end, a projecting semi-octagonal bay - sashes with glazing bars in
each face. Left of the bay, 2 similar sashes. Flush panel door in wall
facing road. A good picturesque example.
