Pair of cottages, now a single house, late C18 or early C19. Colourwashed
Flemish-bond brickwork with half-hipped, thatched roof. 4 brick buttresses.
One and a half storeys, 2 window range. 2-light C20 casements with leaded-lights.
Central ribbed plank door in thatched porch on rustic timber columns.

Internally there are 2 open fireplaces and some original doors. The building
has an unusual location being situated in the bottom of an old chalk pit.
