Small manor house. c1798. Plastered walls, hipped slate roof with wide
bracketed eaves. Plastered stacks with moulded caps. Double-pile plan with
added C19 rear wing. In Regency style. 2 storeys. Central panelled door
in open portico with Tuscan columns and flat entablature. Ground floor has
2 full-height sash windows with glazing bars. First floor has 3 sash
windows with glazing bars. Right of the main block, a small attached block
with separate hipped roof. Full height sash window with glazing bars on
ground floor and small sash windows with glazing bars on first floor. Right
of this, a lower 2-storeyed service range, with plastered walls, hipped slate
roof and 2 plastered stacks on ridge. Panelled door. 3 casement windows
with cast iron glazing on each floor. C20 window with glazing bars on ground
floor. Lower attached outbuilding on right, in matching construction, linked
to stable block (q.v.) by a brick wall. C19 rear wing in matching construction.
In angle of this with main house a C20 covered swimming pool.

Internally, some original fireplaces, cornices and joinery survive. Elliptical
arched openings on first floor landing. Former bakehouse at right end of
service range has large open fireplace, bread oven, and well. (RCHM - unnumbered,
