Corner house on north side of Newland. Late C18 to early C19 front to
earlier core. 2-storeys and attic. 1 window bay to Newland and another
to Cheap Street. Slate hipped roof, with sagging ridge to Newland. One
dormer. Two good early Cl9 bowed windows to ground floor, one facing west,
the other south. These have reeded detail and original glazing bars; stall-risers
of stone.

Nos 1 to 15 (odd) form a group with the George Hotel in Higher Cheap Street.
