Adjoining Britannia Inn. Each house is 2 storey, 2 window with stone rubble
front. Early C19. Sash windows with segmental heads and flush frames
and glazing bars intact. Slate roofs. 1 dormer each. Elliptical heads
to doorways which have flat archivolts and projecting imposts. Harley
House (to left hand) has reeded detail to doorframe; 6-panelled door with
4 fielded panels; plain fanlight; footscraper in reveals. Devonia has
fanlight and later wide 6-panelled door.

Premises occupied by A and W Prout, Nos 4, 6, Digby Estate Nos 256 and
257, Britania Inn, Devonia House, Harley House, Penarth House and Pinehaven
form a group with the Old Mitre, Lower Acreman Street.
