1799. Rectangular building, front of red brick, back of stone rubble with red
brick quoins and facings. Both back and front have recessed arcaded treatment
of 5 bays. Flat plastered imposts carried round building as string. Large
round headed and semi-circular windows set in bays of arcading. Hipped slate
roof. Basement (which was formerly the ammunition store) has battered outside
walls.
