1792-5. Laid out by Samuel and William Downe together with the rest of Downe
Street. Refronted in mid C19. Stucco. Hipped slate roof. Red brick stack.
3 storeys. 5 ranges of sashes with shouldered surrounds. Rusticated ground
floor and quoins. Modern shopfronts. 5 window ranges to Downes Street, 2nd
floor with continuous sill band and with glazing bars. Plaque with "Downes
Street" in good contemporary cerifed lettering.

Nos 9 to 15 (odd) form a group.
