ST 40 SW BETTISCOMBE

4/2 Attached Service Ranges,
West of Manor House, and
Brick wall at front

GV II*

Service Ranges, Early C18 and late C18. Spring-House, Bakehouse,
Coal-store parallel to house. Outbuilding and Privy at right-angles,
attached on west side. Red brick walls, with some burnt headers. Slate
roofs. Spring-House with stone trough, and culverted overflow below.
Bakehouse with bread-oven, having wooden lintel with brick jambs. Privy
in north-east corner of group with stone gable-copings to roof. Culverted
sewer below with brick vaults. Interior with two wooden seats and lids.
Outbuilding with pilaster-buttresses. Roof with purlins trenched into
rafter soffits and bolted. Collars bolted above purlin level.

Brick wall joining south-west corner of house with outbuilding gable-end,
forming a service-yard.
