ST 30 SE MARSHWOOD BIRDSMOORGATE
3/16 Manor Cottage
II
House late C18, possibly earlier core. Stone rubble walls, rendered
and painted. Roman-tile roof with stone-coped gable-ends. Two C20
brick stacks, one at each gable. Symmetrical facade: Two storeys,
three windows, vertical sashes with wooden frames and glazing-bars, front
door, central, four-panelled with fine semi-circular fanlight over.
Interior: elliptical wooden arch-head in staircase-hall. Staircase
with wooden handrail and square balusters. Catslide roof at rear over
a C20 extension. Loose datestone, now kept inside: T:H 1801. Cast-iron
gate and railings to front garden.
