SY 49 NW MARSHWOOD BLUNTSHAY LANE
6/17 Great Bluntsea Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse. C.1600. Rubble-stone walls, rendered. Slate roof with
gable-ends. Three brick stacks, one at left hand, one at right hand,
and one backing on to cross-passage. Two storeys, five windows: wooden
casements with glazing-bars. Wooden cills and one concrete cill. Wooden
lintels. Two plank doors to left and right of centre. Left door is
original entry. Left-hand gable wall of brick, above 4 feet. Interior:
fireplace backing on to cross-passage with shallow-chamfered segmental
head. Plank-and-muntin partition with slight rolls, c.1600. Flagstone
floors. Modern outshuts at rear with two catslide roofs. Source:
