Farmhouse. C17. Rubble walls with Hamstone gable copings. C20 Roman tile
roofs and brick stacks. L-plan. Two storeys. Ranges of 3 windows and
2 windows in the re-entrant. Casements, some with iron frames, semi-circular
tension-bar and spiral stop, C17. Some windows with leaded panes. Door in
the angle, of 2 leaves, plank with vertical mouldings and a 4-centred head,
C20. Interior: ceiling beam with deep-chamfers, filleted and stopped.
Fireplace lintel, similar, now into a window bay. Bread oven with iron
door inscribed 'Wightman and Dening Chard" Plank doors. Source: R.C.H.M.
