ST 71 SW BISHOP'S CAUNDLE CAUNDLE STREET (NORTH SIDE)

3/33 7-10-81 The Orchard

House, C16 with probably C17 rear wing. Rubble walls with gabled,
thatched roof to main range and half-hipped, tiled roof to rear wing.
Stone stack to left gable and part along ridge, brick stack from right
eaves. Originally an end hall plan with 2 bay hall separated from 2
room service block by through passage. 2 storeys, approximately 4 window
range. C20 casements with leaded-lights under wooden lintels. Porch
with sloping roof. Internal features: plank and muntin partitions, end
newel stair, original doorways.
