ST 60 NE HOLNEST

5/113 11-7-51 Dunn's Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, C17 or earlier, left part of coursed rubble, right part of
brick. Stone slated roof. Gabled wing left, half-hipped right.
T-plan. One and a half storeys, main block 4 window range. Stone
mullioned windows with ashlar dressings, those to the ground floor
of 3-lights. The upper floor has similar 2-light windows. Ground
floor windows have returned labels. The projecting left wing has a
canted stone mullioned bay with a stone slate roof. Door in intersection
of 2 ranges appears to be C20 and is glazed. Stacks possibly of
terracotta centrally between the 2 dormers. Brick stack to left gable.
Gable above bay bears panel with inscription 'W G 1610'. Interior
said to contain chamfered ceiling beams and oak panelling.
