Former Vicarage, now Hotel, 1838, by I H Good (London), for Rev G Denison.
Ashlar stone walls. Slate roofs, steep-pitched U-Plan House. South
elevation: stone stacks, group of 4 at right hand gable. 2 groups
behind ridge at right hand, and left centre. 2 storeys and attics.
3 bays, 2 outer ones, gabled and slightly projecting. Ground floor:
all mullion and transom windows, of three, three and four lights.
All with separate labels over. Canted bay at left hand. First floor
windows: 3-, 2-, and 2-light mullions. Single-light attic windows
in the gables. Steep gables with copings and moulded kneelers.
Windows: wood-framed, single-light (ground); sashes with glazing-bars
(First). West entrance front with stew gable and 3 stacks over, on
axis of porch. Porch: with 4-centred entrance arch, straight-chamfered,
and moulded jambs to inner doorway. Door with small recess panels, CL9.
