SY 68 NW PORTESHAM FRIAR WADDON

Cottage with attached cart-shed at right-angles. C16, or later (C17), much
altered. Coursed, squared rubble walls. Thatch roof with gable ends. Lateral
stone stack, on rear wall, centre, with set-offs and bread-oven. Tall C20 brick
stack to upper part. Brick stack at left hand gable. Two storeys. 4 windows,
2-light wooden casement with wood cill and lintel. C17 stone window frame with
separate label over, contains a 2-light wooden casement with blockings to each
side. Front door at left hand (west) in angle with cart-shed, C20 door with 4 glass
lights. Attached cart-shed at right-angles, .C18, rubble-stone walls with hipped
slate roof. Two plank door entrances on the south side, C20. North side is open-
fronted and with a central rubble-stone pier.
