of Gate-Piers South-West
26.1.56 of Waddon Manor.

GV II*

Attached Walls and 2 sets of Gate-Piers in north-south axis, running for 50 metres
west of Waddon Manor. Early C18. Dry dressed stone and rubble-stone walls, with
moulded coping-stones. Gate-Piers, axially arranged 5 metres west of house. Inner
pair: rusticated stone piers with rebates and scroll terminals. Moulded cornices
with ball finials on ogival bases. Outer pair: ashlar stone piers with thin cornice-
moulding and ball terminals. Seven stone steps up to it are included. This item
refers to walls and gate-piers different from those mentioned above at 4/199.
