ST 6601 CERNE ABBAS ABBEY STREET, (west side)

11/54 No. 17 (formerly listed as
26.1.56 Abbey Farm Cottage)
GV II

House, attached to No. 15. Early C18. Flint brick and rubble
walls, plastered and painted pink. Slate roof, mansard with
gable end at left hand, and hipped at right hand. Stone slates
on north hip. Two storeys and dormers. 3 windows. 12 pane
sashes with glazing-bars and flush frames, coupled sashes
right of doorway. Venetian window over the doorway, with its
tympanum filled in and barred to resemble a fanlight. Front
door, left of centre, round-headed with fluted pilasters
supporting an open pediment. Fielded-panel door.
