ST 6601 CERNE ABBAS DUCK STREET, (east side )

Shop premises and attached house to north. Early C19. Stone
walls, rendered and painted pink. Slate roof, curving on
corner of street. C19 brick stack on ridge. 2 storeys.
4 windows in total. Shop-front has two large windows with
glazing-bars (35 pane, 7 x 5), with fluted pilasters and
capitals each side of the door, and at right end renewed left
end. Moulded entablature over. Door at centre, 12 panes
with bottom panel. Balcony over carried on wood brackets, and
with ironwork rail. C20 metal casement to first floor. Large
iron bracket (? for Inn sign) survives. Remaining 3 windows,
sashes with glazing-bars (12 pane) and stone cills. Door at
centre, flush-panelled with 2 top lights, C20. Fanlight over.
Reeded pilaster marks division between nos. 2 and 4.
