Detached cottage, at right angles to road. Late C17. Rubble-stone walls.
Thatch roof, gabled at left hand, and half-hipped at right hand. C19 brick
stack at left hand gable, stone stack on ridge left of centre. 1½ storeys.
3-light casements mainly with 2-light casements at left ground and right
ground, iron casements with small diagonally-leaded lights in wood frames.
Wood cills. Opaque quarries of glass in the top windows. Front door, left
of centre, plank with weatherboard in a wood frame, C19. Rubble-stone
rounded walls to porch, with a thatch canopy over. Interior: open fireplace
in west room, with high chamfered wood lintel over. Open fireplace in east
room. Mid-chamfered ceiling-beams of heavy section. (RCHM, Dorset III,
