Detached farmhouse. C17, refenestrated and extended in C18 and C19
Roughcast stone walls. Clay-tile roofs with gable-ends. Brick stacks at
right gable, stone stack at ridge centre, brick stack on gable at front
extension. Two storeys and attics. 5 windows, 2-, 3- and 4-light C20 wood
casements. Wood cills and lintels. Door, left of centre, on alignment
with garden porch, C20. Gabled C19 extension to garden elevation, C19.
Service extension at north-east corner. One storey. Clay-tile roof.
Brick stack on end wall. Interior: central room of house has open
fireplace with moulded timber jambs and depressed-arch head (ovolo and
hollow chamfer) C17. Ceiling-beams are moulded, ovolo and hollow-chamfer,
Cl?. Flagstone floors. (RCHM, Dorset III, p 238(6)).
