Detached farmhouse. Early C18 with C19 alterations. Coursed and squared
rubble-stone walls. Ham stone ashlar quoins. Thatch roof, with gable ends.
Brick stacks at gable ends. Two storeys. 4 windows, 3-light wood casements
with horizontal glazing-bars, iron casement opens at centre of each.
Segmental brick arches over ground floor windows. Front door at centre,
C19, plank-and-muntin door, with weatherboard and strap-hinges. Heavy wood
frame. Hood lintel over. Attached brick sleeper-walls to front, with C19
iron railings and 2-leaf iron gates at centre. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 251(11)).
