Detached farmhouse. Late C17, with C19 re-roofing. Rubble-stone walls
with Ham stone dressings. Slate roof with stone gable-copings and moulded
kneelers. C19 brick stacks at gable-ends. Two storeys. 3 windows and
door (ground floor), hollow-chamfered stone mullions, mainly C19 cast-iron
casements with horizontal glazing-bars. Wooden casements each side of front
door. Separate labels over. Front door, left of centre, with straight-
chamfered jambs and depressed-arch head, C17. Plank-and-muntin door,
studded. North gable end has a C19 pentice-roofed extension, with slate
roof. Large entrance at centre, between two outhouses, flush-panel door,
C19. Interior access not obtained. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 251(10)).
