1/50 Harvard Farmhouse
GV II
Detached farmhouse. Late C18, with C19 extensions at each end. Coursed
rubble-stone walls with ashlar quoins. Thatch roof, with stone gable-copings
and moulded kneelers. Brick stacks, renewed C20. Front range and short rear
wing, with outshut under slate roof in the angle (former wash-house). Two
storeys and attics. 3 windows, wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars,
wood cills and lintels, of 3 lights and 2-light at centre upper. Front door
at centre, with flush panels and 2 top lights, C19. Original rear wing, same
materials, 2 storeys, one window. Rear gable stack, early C20. Outhouses on
north and south gable-ends, rubble walls, slate roofs hipped. South end has
a C19 plank door for access.
