1/68 Portland House
Detached House. Mid C18, or later, of vernacular design. Rubble-stone walls
and dressed stone quoins. Slate roof, with stone gable-copings and moulded
kneelers. Stone stack on ridge, apex of central gable-coping. Double-depth
house with parallel ridges, stack at left end in the valley. Left gable wall
is roughcast and painted white. Two storeys, 2 windows, and one window,
straight-chamfered stone mullions with separate labels over. C20 metal
casements with lead lights throughout. Front door at left hand, front, with
ashlar stone jambs, straight-chamfered, with a separate label over. 6-panel
