Detached Farmhouse, now divided into 3 cottages. Early-mid C17, with C18
refenestration and C19 extension at east. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roofs,
with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers at left hand gable, and at right
front gable. Lower hipped thatch roof to no.3. Brick stacks at left hand gable,
at right end of ridge, stone stack with projecting cornice at right front gable,
C18. North elevation, 2 storeys and attics. 4 windows and one window on return
to north. From east to west, windows of 3, 4, 2 and one lights, iron casements
with lead lights, and cast-iron casements with glazing bars. Left of centre is
a 4-light stone mullion with a label. North wing has stone-framed and mullioned
windows on both east and west sides. Entrances are now on the rear (south)
elevation. C20 Porch at centre, roughcast and with pantiled roof, plank door,
entrance immediately east of this. Entrance to no. 3, in east end single storey
extension, plank with wood frame, C19. (RCHM. Dorset, p.160(3))
