Chetnole Lodge
II
Detached Lodge. Dated 1870 in shield on south gable. Rubble-stone walls,
with moulded Ham stone plinth and ashlar Ham quoins. Clay-tile roofs with
stone gable-copings, stone finials and level moulded kneelers. Stone stacks
with moulded capstones, tripled on ridge, and single on east gable. L-plan.
1 1/2 and 2 storeys. West elevation has a square bay at left ground (3-lights);
rest of 2 lights, all with ovolo-moulded stone mullions and frames. Separate
labels, returned. Iron casements with glazing-bars. Elevation to road has
a canted bay at ground, of one, two-, and one light. Same detailing. 2-light
window over. Two single windows, east of the porch. The porch, in S.E.angle,
is 3-sided and the doorway has moulded jambs and a depressed-arch head, plank
door, C20.
