Cottage formerly three tenements. Mid C17, extended north in C18.
Rubblestone and cob walls, rendered and colour washed. Thatch roof,
hipped at both ends. Brick stacks at left hip apex and at ridge right
of centre. 1½ storeys, higher at south end than north end. 6 windows,
irregular fenestration, 2 and 3 light casements, with and without
glazing bars. Wood cills and lintels. 4 eyebrow dormers, wood
casements with and without glazing bars, 3 : 2 : 3 : 2 lights.
Present front door, approximately at centre, re-made plank with
muntins, one glass light, C20. Interior: slightly chamfered ceiling
beams with stepped stops. Open fireplaces (left stack), has dressed
stone jambs and chamfered oak lintel dress stopped; (right stack)
brick jambs and oak lintel, with bread oven in right side, C18.
