GV II

Barn. Late C17, with porch additions of C19. Rubble stone walls
with brick quoins. Thatch roof, hipped at both ends. 3 slit lights
to north wall. Original porch at the north east end of the north side,
brick lined with hipped thatch roof. The westerly porch on same side
is a C19 addition, also brick lined, both porches are without doors.
There are two pitch doors on the north wall and one blocked with brick.
The south wall is supported by 5 brick buttresses and has 2 doorways
corresponding to the porches opposite. Interior: roof construction
of halved collar beam trusses. (R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p.376 (2)
