walls and gates
to The Court

GV II

Boundary walls and gates. Mid-c18. Front boundary wall of brick, swept up
at outer ends, capped with carved stone eagles. Ornamental iron gates in centre.
Wing walls extending from each end of the centre block of the house, meeting
the front wall. Left of this feature, the main garden boundary wall, set back
slightly, extends to river, with brick piers. Right of the central feature,
the main boundary wall continues, at upper level. Ornamental iron gate in
this, leading into courtyard in front of right wing of house.
