8/35 Farm House

Farmhouse. Date stone on porch. BWE 1792. Extended to left, probably in
early C19. Rubble stone walls with ashlar quoins. Slate roof with stone
eaves courses and coped gables to original section. One brick stack at left
end, one at junction of original and later sections, one stone stack at right
end. Later, rear extension with plastered walls and separate panelled gabled
roof. 2 storeys C20 stone porch with gabled slate roof and the re-set date
stone. Ground floor has two 3-light stone mullioned windows with flat mullions.
First floor has 2 similar windows and one similar 2-light window in centre. In
extension, a similar 3-light window on each floor. Left ground floor room, in
original section, has large open fireplace with stone jambs and timber lintel.
