Farmhouse. Late C16-early C17 origin, altered. Rubble stone walls, partly
roughcast, thatched roof with stone eaves courses, brick end stacks and one
right of centre. 2 storeys. At right angles to road. Probably originally
of 3-room and cross-passage plan. C20 porch with lean-to stone slate roof.
C20 battened door. Ground floor has 2 C20 casements and a pair of French
doors - all with glazing bars. First floor has 4 similar casements. Right end
section projects slightly. Interior modernised, but retains 2 late C16 or
early C17 stone fireplaces: that in centre room with chamfered surround:
that in right end room with moulded surround. Also in this room, 2 stone
corbels above fireplace which originally carried ceiling beams.
