26.1.56 Northfield Farmhouse)

Detached cottage. Later C17 with C20 refenestration. Cob and rubble walls,
painted white. Thatch roof, gabled at left hand and hipped at right hand.
Brick stacks at left gable and on ridge right of centre. Two storeys, 4
windows, 2-light wood casements with glazing bars, to original design. Wood
cills and lintels, front door at centre, plank and studded with one glazed
light, C20. Weatherboarded porch with thatch canopy. (RCHM Dorset III,
