Detached farmhouse. Late C17. Brick walls in English bond with two
stretcher courses to one of headers, but Flemish bond occurs at the south
east corner. West and north walls are of banded brick and flint up to the
first floor. Where walls are of brick they have plinths below, plat bands
at first floor level and coved plaster cornices at the eaves. Clay tile
roofs with stone slates in lower courses and are hipped at every corner
except at the west end of the south range; this is gabled and crowned by a
large brick stack. Half H plan. South elevation: 2 storeys and attics. 5
windows: ground floor left 3-light C20 casement, 3-light C20 casement with
lead-lights, porch, 3-light wood casement with lead lights, segmental arch
over. First floor: 3-light C20 casement with lead lights, blocking, sash
window with wood lintel over, shallow round headed recess occurs in the east
part of the south front. It is outlined in stretcher bricks and embellished
with brick imposts and brick keystone. Within the recess the wall is
rendered. 3-light casement with lintel over. Two gabled C20 dormers in the
roof space. Gabled brick porch with elliptical archway and clay tile roof.
6 fielded panel door inside. Internally, no notable features are visible.
